crowlover.com and the AbishBox app are run by Loam.team for the AbishBox bird tracking project: a camera and a microphone in a backyard in Oviedo, Florida, watching and listening for the crows and the other birds that visit. This page says what they record, what they keep, and what they share.

What the box records

• Video and sound of the yard. The box keeps everyday video for 3 days and the moments it saw or heard a bird for 30 days, then deletes them.
• A log of the birds: when, what its bird models think each one was, and how sure they were. And the weather.
• The box tracks birds. It doesn't recognize faces or identify anyone, and it never names a person. It's a real yard: anyone who walks through it can appear in the live view, the clips and the episodes.

• No account, no ads, no analytics. The site sets no cookies of its own.
• The site reaches you through Cloudflare, which carries the connection under its own privacy policy.
• The box's web server keeps a standard log of requests (the time, the page, the browser type) for 14 days. The log doesn't include your IP address.
• The full camera view is Frigate's own app. It saves its display settings in your browser.
• The “I fed them” button is for invited people only. Signing in goes through Cloudflare Access with your email address, and the box logs that address with each tap.

The AbishBox app on TikTok

The AbishBox app posts the project's episodes to the project's own TikTok account. It isn't offered to anyone else. When that account is connected, TikTok gives the box:

• the account's basic profile: its ID, display name and avatar (user.info.basic);
• permission to upload videos to the account and post them (video.upload, video.publish).

The box uses these only to post its own episodes and to check that they posted. It reads nothing else from TikTok. The access tokens stay on the box, in a file only the posting service can read.

The account's owner can disconnect the app at any time, on the box's TikTok page or in TikTok's own settings (app permissions). Disconnecting on the box deletes the tokens there and revokes them with TikTok.

Sharing

We don't sell anything the box collects, and we don't share it with anyone except as this page says: Cloudflare carries the site, and TikTok receives the episodes the app posts.
